Talking about energy efficiency, according to Energy Star and the EPA, oil fired boilers are the most effective one provided they are well maintained and serviced regularly. These not only minimize the operational cost but also the maintenance cost which is quite high in rest other types of boilers. Oil fired boilers can be the best heating solution for the regions which are located in areas that have no access to gas or have low gas resources.
Selecting a Oil Boiler
Oil boilers are of two types; the first ones are the boilers that come with open flues. The second ones are the one that come with balanced flues. In balanced flue type boiler, there is another pipe located either inside the exhaust pipe or surrounding it so that necessary air for combustion from outside can be extracted and sent to the system. Balanced flue boilers are considered the ideal one for efficiency and better output.
